More than guides, we are interpreters of the land. A human bridge between the immensity of Patagonia and the curiosity of the traveler.
Roge “Rocky” Casal is the founder and head guide of Baqueanos Patagonia Guides. He has more than 25 years of fly fishing experience and over 13 years guiding in Patagonia.
Roge has dedicated his life to exploring and understanding the Trevelin, Esquel, Los Alerces National Park and Río Pico area. His deep knowledge of the rivers, lakes and lagoons is the reward of countless days fishing and guiding these waters. Born and raised fishing in Patagonia, those who share a day with him usually take away more than good fishing: a new way to read the water.
More than two decades fishing these waters and a life spent exploring the area allow us to design each day with real river judgment.
We guide with respect for the environment, the species and the natural rhythm of each Patagonian river, lake and lagoon.
We adapt to each angler's style, experience level and goals so the experience feels authentic and memorable.
Rocky is recognized by his guests for his order and working method, his passion for guiding, his broad knowledge of the area, his skill and strength on the oars, and above all because those who spend a fishing day with him always learn something new.
A true Patagonian baqueano: born and raised fishing these waters.
Reading the water, conditions, access and precise timing for each environment.
Skill and strength to work the boat in service of the fishing.
Every day on the water aims to leave a technical, cultural or natural lesson.
A local team united by water reading, safety and the passion for sharing fly fishing in Patagonia.
